Mid to late 18th century spiral candlestick

This spiral candlestick is one of the better examples that I have owned to resell. It shows a tremendous amount of age and character and would be beautiful in most any setting of a colonial period or historical setting. The Candlestick which is new is beeswax that comes with the candlestick. Nothing worse than trying to find a candle for these 18th century candlesticks that seem to be made in all different sizes. It moves freely up and down has an iron 10 through the wooden base as it should and we'll make an excellent addition to your collection or a great gift to someone you care about. Late 17th century to early 18th century town Crier

This sandcast Town Crier Bell would dates late 17th century to early 18th century. It is extremely rare. There are very good references on a bell such as this. This comes from a Boston Massachusetts collection. The Bell is made of bronze entirely it stands about seven and a half inches in height. It has a beautiful ring shows tremendous wear on the inside where the strike would meet the Bell. The age is even. Town criers for those of all of us that know American history were a familiar site in the late 17th century to and through much of the 18th century. Town criers were essentially the advertisers of the colonial period. They were not used as many would think to repeat our report on government issues but to report in many cases Town gossip or report on things that have been lost or that have gone wrong for the people that live in the town. There are many good references for a bell such as this I have taken a photograph of the side of the Bell that shows the pontal this Bell shows very good age and use. The handle is worn from having been held for a very long time. This is an extremely rare colonial American antique. As always shipping and insurance is free.

Mid to late 18th century hand Forged iron Rush Can

This combination Candlestick Rush light would date mid 18th century to 1780s. It is handforged throughout with some hand Forged markings on the bowl that appear to have been a repurposed piece of iron as the hand Forged marks very well done are of no use to the candle Bowl. Not unusual in the make do world of the colonial this Candlestick lighting combination stands at 10 in and height it is a very well done Colonial artifact thank you very much. Circa 1790 to 1810 tobacco Brown stoneware jug 8 i

This small brown jug would date 1790 to 1810 it is an excellent condition with one minor chip on the lip that is most undoubtedly. It is not perfect but it is darn nice. It stands just under 8 in about 7 and 3/4 in height it will add to any collection it is a very nice very good American Colonial jug. Late 18th century small wallet

This late 18th century 1780s small wallet comes from a collection in the Charleston South Carolina area. It is in very good condition and would have been a small change wallet. It measures about 3 and 1/2 in in width and 2 in high. Of course completely hand sewn with period closure. In this wallet is a counterfeit 1783 Spanish coin. Counterfeit coins from this period were not unusual for a number of reasons. There was a tremendous coinage shortage in colonial America in the 18th century with Spanish coins being used on many occasions. The other was to cheat a low silver content metal would be cast and passed as real. Make no doubt this is a counterfeit coin most likely though dating to the 18th century.
