C.1827 AMERICAN SARAH ANN CHAPMAN SAMPLER

To all of my "Early Sampler and Americana Collectors", being offered is a " Small but Mighty", American sampler 12" x 12 1/4" dated 1827 in the hand of Sarah Ann Chapman. Sarah Ann was born in Saratoga New York on Nov. 13 , 1813. Her parents were Israel Chapman and Sarah Stephens. Sarah married Archibald Robbins and had 9 children. Sarah died Sept. 7th 1898 in Watkins Glenn. This beautiful Alphabet and number sampler is in blue and green threads and bordered in green leaves. Sampler is framed in original birds eye maple frame. DIMINUTIVE 2 DRAWER PERIOD RED PAINTED PINE CHEST

To all of my "Early Americana and High Country Collectors", being offered is a C. 1820-40s' Diminutive Pine Chest with two dovetailed drawers in Original period dry red paint. Chest measures 25"x 31 1/2" x 18 1/2". It has original lockset and hinges. There is an old split and repair along hinge line on lid. There is also an age split in lid. JOHN &PRISCILLA BEACH MARRIAGE SAMPLER OCT.12.1829

To all my "Early Americana and Sampler Collectors", being offered is a wonderful American Marriage Sampler dated 1829. Genealogy on the family finds a John and Priscilla Beach in New York State although Beach is a fairly common name. The husband John Beach married Priscilla Beach. The sampler was made in the hand of Mary Ann Beach and dated October 12, 1829. Alphabet in 4 rows and verse as well as floral chain border and my favorite ... a pair of birds with the word innocence stitched under. The verse reads Youth is a season bright and gay And if this opens in undone way We meet old age without he may And Death is sweet at last. Sampler measures17"x 16". Sampler is in very good condition with a small water stain to center shown in pics hardly noticeable. Sampler is in period frame possibly original. To all of my "Early quilt collectors", being offered for consideration is a Early Red, Yellow and Black Calico wit a mulberry Calico backing. This a mid 1800s quilt measuring 76" square. Quilt is pictured on a Queen mattress. Quilting is exquisite 8-10 stitches to the inch. Colors ate strong no stains and no fade on front of quilt. C.1800s'WOODEN PAINT DECORATED CARRIER

To all my ,"Early Americana and Primitive Collectors," being offered is a C. 1800s' large handled carrier in original period red paint with the initials DW painted on both sides in mustard paint. Corners are canted in. Carrier measures 30"x 13" x 5 3/4" and 8" to top of handle. Carrier is in very good solid condition. It has wonderful surface wear and great age patina to the painted surface. C. FOURTH QUARTER 1800S' HAND STITCHED QUILT

To all of my "Early Quilt ", Collectors being offered are a pair of fourth quarter 1800s Red, White and Blue quilts that were quilted by the grandmother of a family named Sanders who passed at the age of 94. Her daughter hand wrote a note on her 80 th birthday in 1944 requesting the quilts be passed down in the family. I dont know if the family line ended recently or the family didnt care but here they are now to be treasured in another family. Both quilts are full size. The first is 72" x 64" and the second measures 76" x 68". Both are feed sack remnants on muslin backing and beautifully hand stitched 12 to the inch. Both quilts are reasonably priced and new owner may purchase one or both. C.1800s'Diminutive Cherry Chest W/Spice Drawer

To all my " Early Americana & High Country Collectors", being offered for consideration is the most adorable C. 4 th quarter Miniature Cherry Chest. Chest has drawer with wooden pulls and divided spice drawer and dovetailed construction. Chest has lock in lid and drawer with original working key. Back of chest is finished cherry. Incised on the spice drawer under the escutcheon is the name J.O Brystle. Cant find anything on the name ... possibly maker. The drawers have square nails under the divider. Chamfered bottoms. Chest measures 18 x 10x 12 1/2. This charming piece came out of a 45+ year collection. This is the first time it has been offered.
