English Sampler

Extremely fine sampler of Eliza Sarah Johnson, aged 14 years. Dated 1849, wool thread on course linen. With 3 complete alphabets; REC panel at bottom containing galloping horse, rabbits and floral trees, some of which have birds perched on top/ pink and red strawberry vine border; quite colorful. 15 1/2" x 20," in modern wood frame.
